What is a fanlisting?
A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject.
A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country.
Now that we're all caught up on what a fanlisting is - why a fanlisting for Zenya?
Zenya is a truly fascinating character, and it's probably no surprise that he's my personal favorite in the main cast of sweet pool. He is definitely an antagonist, no denying that - but I can't help but ruminate on his behavior and the reasons for why he does the things he does. So much of his behavior is loud and harsh and unrestrained, but we're also treated to small glimpses into the more vulnerable parts of his personality, and the way these aspects of his character intermingle are so, so interesting to me. I spend an unreasonable amount of time imagining how the events of the game could have gone
differently if only X, Y, or Z happened first.
So many critical pieces of his story are left out of the game - pieces of both his past and numerous hypothetical futures. What we do get to see is quite engaging - his love for his pet igauna, Kristi; his fraught relationship with his father; his intimate and simultaenously frivolous interactions with his caretaker, Kitani. But for all of the time the narrative spends talking about Zenya's relationships and Zenya himself, in the end, he is sidelined before his character arc can reach a satisfying conclusion. I want to spread the good word of how interesting he is to people who may not have appreciated him very much before, and to find other fans who developed a fondness for such a unique and complex character!
